IQ Test
Conducting our IQ test will yield valuable insight into your potential for academic achievement. IQ tests were initially designed to identify children requiring special attention or additional assistance in schooling. While only providing a glimpse into your potential the free IQ test serves as a valuable tool in identifying opportunities at a critical stage in your development.
How does the IQ test work?
The kids IQ test consists of a number of tasks measuring various measures of intelligence including short-term memory, analytical thinking, mathematical ability and spatial recognition. The test is designed so that the majority of people fall within the 90 – 110 range.
What might the IQ test tell me?
Firstly it is important to understand while your IQ test provides valuable insight, numerous studies have shown academic performance
is also heavily influenced by many personal factors such as interest and persistence. An IQ either side of 70 – 120 probably indicates
the need for professional testing and interpretation by a professional psychologist. A child with a score this far out of the ‘normal range’
will most likely benefit from special attention.
Despite numerous studies into positive high IQ correlations there are no clear relationships between achievement and IQ. A high IQ provides no
guarantee of a successful career path and conversely a lower IQ is no guarantee of failure. Your IQ test is useful in
determining your academic potential and possible requirement for specialized assistance.
What won’t it measure?
There are many types of intelligence not measured by the IQ test including emotional intelligence, musical ability, spirituality as well as other important abilities such as self motivation.
